First Trial

If you want to use Yahboom Raspblock AI smart Car, you can refer to following tutorial.

Part 1---Download and write image into SD card.

1.Download image we provided.

2.After download is complete, you can get a .rar file. As shown below.

(Because the image file is very large, we have to share it with customers in the form of rar file)

3.You need to extract this .rar file by software.


For Windows

Download WinRAR or 7Zip software and install on your computer.

(Please download and install latest version of 7z software, Otherwise it will fail to decompress)

4.Select Yahboom_Raspblock_image.rar file. As shown below.

5.Then, you can see the interface as shown below.

6. After extract is complete, you will get a Yahboom_Raspblock_image folder with Yahboom_Raspblock_image.img.

For MAC

1. Download Unarchiver software and install it on your computer.

2. Select Yahboom_Raspblock_image.rar file. "Open with"---"The Unarchivwer(default).

7.Next, you can write image into SD card.

Part 2 --- Configure the network environment

Method-- A: If you have display.

1. Connect the keyboard, mouse, and display to the Raspberry Pi. Open the power on the expansion board. After waiting for the system to start successfully, you will see the interface as shown below on the display screen.

2. Click on the upper right corner to connect to WIFI or insert a network cable.

Method-- B: If you didn't have display.

1. You need to download wpa_supplicant.conf file.

2. After download is complete, you need to open this file by Notepad++ software.


3. Open wpa_supplicant.conf file, you can following interface.

4.Please enter your WIFI name and password in the place shown below.

For example: My WIFI name is Yahboom1_5G. Password is yahboom890729.

Note ! : Please make sure the WIFI name and password are entered correctly, please do not modify the format of this file.

5. Save and close this file.

6. Copy this file into SD card (drive letter "boot") containing Raspblock image on your computer.


7.Remove SD card from your computer.


Part3 --- Start car

1. Insert SD card into the card slot behind the Raspberry Pi, as shown below.

2.Insert battery pack (Fully charge) and check all wiring again according to the instructions.

3.Open the power switch. You can see the cooling fan starts to rotate, there are three red indicator lights is keep on, and an orange indicator is flashing on the expansion board.

4.Wait a moment. You will heard that speaker will voice broadcast “IP address is 192.168.xxx.xxx.”

(Please record the currently broadcast IP address, it will voice broadcast two times)

If you heard that speaker will voice broadcast IP address, which means that Raspblock has successfully connected the WiFi network.

Tip : If your robot car can’t connected the WiFi network by wpa_supplicant.conf file. You need to use display, keyboard, mouse to connect WIFI.

5.Then, you will heard that speaker will voice broadcast “Welcome to the Raspblock AI smart car”. It means that the APP remote control process in the system has started normally.


Part 4 --- Download APP

1. Android users scan the following QR code by browser or search "YahboomRobot" in Play Store to download APP;

Download app -> YahboomRobot.apk

iOS users scan the following QR code by camera or search "YahboomRobot" in App Store to download APP.

2. We need to click on the top left corner of the APK to select the device as shown below.

3. Select Raspblcok

4. Click the WIFI icon in the upper corner to enter the configuration interface, select the IP address configuration for the first trial, and configure the click to connect.

5. Input the IP address you recorded correctly.

6. If the connection is successful, the function selection interface will be automatically jumped.

(Note: Port number and video port number default to 6000, 6001, do not modify)

7. Function selection interface.

8. About APP

【CONTROL】

Note ! : After entering the app interface, you must wait for the video screen on the app (It takes about two minutes to wait).

Then, you can start remote control.

You can adjust the position of the camera through the button on the right to make the autopilot effect better.

Note: When conducting an Autopilot experiment, it is recommended that the surrounding environment is white. You can switch the screen of automatic driving by clicking the “Switch” button.
